What is happening in my project? – Jan 30, 2022

This week, discuss what you have done the past two weeks of your project. During the last two weeks, I have been setting up and planning all upcoming events. I had a meeting with my mentor and teammates to discuss the future of our project. During this meeting, we decided to work with CEPIA and the junior kids at the dance studio. The first task we completed was holding auditions at our studio so that we could decide who we will be working with. For the next four months, each of us will choreograph a solo for one of the younger kids at our studio. The second task we have completed was planning the logistics for our collaboration with CEPIA. Through Gaby, we communicated with CEPIA and are now providing an opportunity for about 20 underprivileged kids to learn to dance. What are the next steps for the upcoming 2 weeks? Our next steps are to begging to choreograph and work with our assigned junior dancer. Additionally, we will begin teaching CEPIA kids, starting next weekend. Lastly, we need to put together and finish our CAS video in order to upload it to the wonderment. How have you grown and changed through the process of these actions? It can be a micro change but analyze your growth and development because of your actions. During these actions, I have become more self-aware and reflective of what I truly want to accomplish in this project. I now know that I want to provide a greater service to my community, while still collaborating with my dance studio. This is why the project with CEPIA is very important to me. I had the opportunity to take the dancers I worked with the last trimester to a dance festival in Puntarenas. Although it was a great experience for both of us, I didnt end up taking them to the festival, I did however work with them beforehand to set them up for success. The reason for this was that I managed to reflect on what I needed and discovered that this was not the best timing for me. I did, however, want to still make a contribution so I practiced with the girls in order to ensure they are ready to perform.
