Word is Travelling As More Mowanas are Pasted……

As of July 2024 Tebogo and the Mowana Rehabilitation Project have pasted 26 trees with the concoction.

• 18 of these were severely damaged and are being followed up on weekly, as much as possible, and all are now being left alone by the elephants
• 8 of these have less severe damage and cannot be followed as closely due to human limitations of such a small project

When Tebogo went into a shop in Shakawe (more than 60km away from the project base), to get some water, he was somehow recognized and greeted by local children who immediately wanted to share with him their knowledge of a damaged Mowana that needed his help. This experience has great significance because of the distance this village is from the region Tebogo is working in, he has never spoken at the local school in this area and none of the Mowanas in the project are anywhere nearby this region. He cannot understand how these kids would know to approach him and yet they did!
