Choose Your Values

Values drive our actions in a way that we don’t always think about when making decisions. This exercise will help you consciously consider what is important to you and how to use that information in your life.

Meditation

  • Before getting started with the path, take a moment to reconnect with your mind, body and soul. Complete this quick 5 minute meditation to center yourself.

Values

  • From the list provided, pick the values that really speak to you. You can choose as many as you want.
  • Grab some writing utensils and group your chosen values to see if any overlap, like Honesty and Authenticity. Then, narrow down your list to just 5 values that are the most important to you.
  • Define each of the five values you’ve chosen and make sure they still hold significance for you. Are these values truly important in your life?
  • Create a list with the most important value at the top. This is your prioritized list of values that represent what matters most to you.
  • Prioritize them by creating a list with the most important one on top. Post your finalized list on the path.
  • Post your finalized list of values on the path.
