Through this project I hope to empower women in relation to thier sexual rights. I plan on doing this through CEPIA events that provide underprivileged women with IUDs, as well as educating them in regards to thier sexsual health. This helps empower the women and allow them to take more control of their lives.
Three things that I am crazy about are traveling, music and swimming. I love discovering new places and learning about new people and cultures. I find it so interesting to learn about all the different people around the world and so important to be knowledgeable about different cultures. I also love music, I think it is a great outlet and way to calm down or get excited or achieve any mood that is necessary for a certain situation. Swimming is my outlet for stress. It helps me release negative energy and gain positive energy, destress and clear my mind.
What I Do:
Two skills that I have mastered are organization and delegating. I am really good at ensuring that all tasks get done in an orderly and effective manner this is really helpful for my project because it is based on planning events and ensuring that they are properly organized. I am also good at ensuring that all necessary people are involved and doing what they need to be doing in order for us to succeed. Delegating in situations is my strong suit. Once again this is helpful for my project because there are several different people that are involved and need to be directed in order to complete the project in the most effective manner.
What I Want:
The main thing I want to achieve from this project is a more intimate relationship with my community. I have lived in CR for 9 years and only have one more year of highschool left. I want to make it count. I believe by helping these women and being a part of this project I will not only empower these women but also myself. I want to use the current power that I have to positively impact my community.
