today I am talking about oxidation specifically about copper. When copper is exposed to oxygen it forms a layer of copper oxide or the patina, its that green ish blue ish color which youll find on old pennies or copper jewelry. Unlike other oxidation on other metals this forms a protective shell that doesnt weaken the metal. I have submerged the copper in five different liquids and let it submerge over night and see how how each of them go through the oxidation process.
