The Feria La Paz is a project based on community. It is a Fare that takes place each week under the Guanacaste tree at our school. It was a huge part of the community and school tradition before COVID, and this project is about bringing it back to its fullest potential.
I am passionate about all things environmental. Everything to do with the earth excites me. Anytime I hear about the pressing environmental issues around the globe, I get motivated to see and make a change. I love to bake. I love being in the kitchen and creating delicious things to eat. Baking is how I unleash my creative side. The idea of creating something, whether it be something I can eat or a change I see in the world is what keeps me going.
What I Do:
I can make the BEST chocolate cake. It is so moist and so chocolatey you will fall off your seat. Seriously, it's so good. I can play a great match in tennis. I have been playing for a couple of years now and have seen myself grow tremendously. Tennis makes me so happy, it has given me first-hand experience understanding the benefits of exercise and just how quickly it can change your mood. Lastly, I am a certified diver. Being able to experience the ocean's underwater world has given me a new sense of excitement and wonder.
What I Want:
I want to help change the world. I don't know how just yet, but I will eventually. I know that the earth needs help, and I feel so helpless. Through this project, I hope that I will find a purpose and make a change. No matter how small, I will change my community, my ocean, and hopefully in the long term the world. I hope to learn how I personally can make changes, and more about the way the oceans in my community work.
