Team S.S.S, La Paz Community School
Students Sponsoring Students is an organization based in La Paz Community School in Flamingo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We hold weekly meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays to collaborate with community members and volunteers that want to help fundraise money for fulfilling financial needs of financially unstable La Paz families. Throughout the weekly meetings, we organize and plan events to give back to the community and raise funds for the scholarship students and their needs in and outside of school.
I like to help others, while trying to maintain a balanced life between IB and social life. Going to the beach and sharing time with family and friends is my number one thing I love to do. Creating new moments is my forte.
What I Do:
Being positive, caring and responsible best fit my skills.
What I Want:
I´m looking forward fundraising a good amount of money, in order to better the scholarship program. I would like to achieve teamwork and meeting my goal on time. However, I would also like to comitt power and engagement in the community, throughout the process.

What I like:
I love to move, to exercise and to feel active. I love to go outside and enjoy nature and fresh air. An activity that I enjoy doing is going to the gym and swimming, the feeling I get when I am done empowers me and gives me the energy to keep going in life. I also enjoy to express myself through creative ways like dancing and acting. When I am moving, I feel like I am invincible and I feel like I have the strength required to be my best self.
What I Do:
I like to socialize and meet new people, I have become a good communicator. I feel like I am good at persuading and defending my unique ideas. Trought the years, I feel like I have become a risk-taker because life has put me through hard experiences that made me grow as a person, this is why I have become independent and strong. I am not afraid of ging beyond my limits and I like to explore new things that challenge me in different ways.
What I Want:
I want to learn how to help those that are in my community. I want to learn how to organize events for the school while fundraising money for those in need. I hope to become a stronger person by working with others. I want to show that dreams can come true and that nothing is impossible. I hope to give the scholarships students a voice and new opportunities!
