Are Our Organs Alive?

According to The Principles of Biology, all living beings have the ability to adapt, grow, develop, respond to environmental changes, and have a certain order. Because our organs can develop over time, adapt to the environment, and have order, by definition, our organs are living by definition. Although some people may view living organisms as having thoughts, feelings, and emotions, this is not necessarily what ‘living’ means. For example, we also classify plants as being living or dead, although plants cannot speak or are capable of emotion and thinking. By definition, our organs are very much living.
