Are we alone?

I don’t think we are alone in the universe. I mean, we did find bacteria on Mars. But wherever the next form of intelligent life or at least advanced organisms such as plants, fungi, something similar to an animal, or even something like humans, it is not close to us. We may not be meant to even interact with it. But I do believe the arrogation of mankind never stops- so one day we will reach others. It raises the question- what if there’s 3 different spots with intelligent life, and they already found each other and stopped looking for more?

I agree with you, we have found evidence that may suggest that there’s some type of life on Mars, and someday we might find it. I didn’t even think about your question in the end.

Hi jennavanderhulst, I agree with you that somewhere out there is indeed life on other planets that may be more sophisticated than humans, or may be the dumbest species to ever exist. In either case, there is life on other planets, but may be far away from Earth. To reach these species would require technologies that we have not yet discovered. But for sure there is life out in space that we have not yet discovered that we will in the distant future.

I agree specifically with the part where you mentioned the arrogation of mankind never stops, even though the time we may find other forms of life will most likely be thousands of years in the future, I definitely think our natural curiosity will get us there eventually. The technology required to explore that far and vastly doesn’t seem within reach right now, but at the rate we’ve been able to technologically improve – especially within the last 20 years or so – it’s almost impossible that we won’t get there SOME day.
