Are we alone?

Our intelligence could put questions like whether we are alone to use. Since we humans can think critically, logically, and creatively, we could find a way to learn if we are alone or if there are other intelligent individuals. Knowing that we might not be alone makes me feel even more curious because if there is life on another planet or in another universe, I would wonder if we are the same or different in any way. Knowing this would change how we go about our lives here because we could connect with other intelligent individuals and maybe save the earth. Since we also are experiencing climate change, we could avoid this from happening on that other planet.
