Are we alone?

I do not particularly think we are alone, but I do think that we are very far from each other. Theoretically speaking, surely there is a planet similar to ours that is able top harbor life? We may be the first most advanced life form as of now, but there’s a chance that we are just unable to reach each other. It may be impossible to meet each other within the next few thousand years at the rate we are evolving, or we may go extinct before we can see a new life form. It’s a bigger possibilities we are going to see an evolution of species here on earth.
