Out of the millions of galaxies and planets in the universe, we are a speck of dust, on a speck of dust, on a speck of dust compared to the rest of them. Knowing this, I think it would honestly be ridiculous for someone to say that there is no way there could be other life outside of Earth and what we know. I definitely think that were can put our pondering to use. After all, most of the things we have discovered were because someone had a crazy idea or thought.
The idea that we are not alone makes me somewhat apprehensive as well as intrigued. Based on the movies I’ve seen, I have my worries that other life forms will come to Earth and try to take over hahaha but that’s more make-believe. Realistically, I would be afraid of humans attacking the other life forms or captivating them, which would basically turn into another form of racism. So, in this case, I don’t trust humans more than anything. That just my worry if they came to Earth but just the idea is so fascinating to me that I have looked into it since I was little.
Honestly, I do not think that the idea should affect us very much. For example, the idea of gravity is cool to learn about but if we didn’t know about it, we would still live our lives. For me, the same thing goes for the idea that there are other life forms. Whether there are or are not, we should just keep living our lives. But, if they came to Earth, that is a whole other story. Then, I’d say we should maybe worry about it.

Hello,
I completely agree with every point that you’ve made. Learning that there is life on other planets would be a wonderful scientific advancement and achievement; however, I don’t trust humanity to not discriminate and act in bigoted ways against alternate life forms, especially if those life forms are intelligent. How do you think humans can try and reduce acting prejudicial in this case?
