Being part of La Paz Community School!

In 2007, I was given the chance to start Kinder garden at La Paz Community School, a new bilingual school in our community. Throughout the years, I was taught many skills and ideas that have been an influence on the person that I am today. However, that opportunity that changed my life and the way I saw the world was in 2017 when I got the chance to participate in an exchange program. We were able to travel to Dallas, Texas and go to school at Westlake Academy. During those two weeks there, I was able to learn about a new culture, country and group of people that live a completely different life then we do. So yes, La Paz and the members of this exchange program definitely opened a door to a new life changing experience. I was able to learn how to be more open-minded and a risk-taker which I am very grateful for.
