Last year when my parents and I went to camp at the Grand Canyon, we saw a lot of elk. My parents saw the first elk, but I missed it because we drove past it. On our way to see the sunset there were elk in the parking lot of a store. The elk herd was just standing in the middle of the parking lot, minding their own business. There was even a baby elk that was running around until one of the elks called to it. The next day when we were driving to our campsite from a hiking trail, there was three elk near our spot. There was also huge ravens on our campsite table. I often wonder why the elk visit the campsites and parking lots.
