Experiments on the ISS

I think the part that interested me the most was the fact that they were able to grow plants in space. To me that seems really hard since I feel like it would be hard for the plants to grow without gravity when they have lived on earth for thousands of years and I also think it would be hard to have enough water, soil, and light for the plants on the ship. However, I am not the most educated on how plant growth works, so I don’t know if they are able to use regular light instead of sunlight to grow the plants. There are many challenges that come with doing experiments in space, such as the fact that everything behaves differently in microgravity which could be hard to deal with. There are also challenges that come with having to be in a small ship so far away from earth with limited materials and people. I would like to know more about the experiments they do with blood in space because some of the people in the video were taking their own blood in space and one of the scientists on earth was talking about how they have to work with one vial of blood in space when they would be able to work with ten vials of blood on earth.
