Scientists are working to improve photosynthesis, but why? People! People is the answer, people eat food and with a growing population eventually there will not be enough food for everyone. With this improved photosynthesis more volume of food will be available and enough food will be produced. I think this is great and has a lot of potential in the future to solve problems like this one.

I really liked your response Brodie. Plants and plant based food are a huge part of human life. With this increased food production we can stay alive longer. Another thing is that some plants could also exchange the carbon dioxide in the air for oxygen. this process is very helpful in many ways.
