Hospitals in Space

Sending any supplies up to space is expensive let alone medical supplies and equipment. Designing a ‘hospital’ of sorts in space would require a lot of thinking by space engineers and medical experts to understand how they could do procedures without gravity. This would then require gravity rooms and a lot of planning would go into that and how it would have to be set up and stay sterile. Thankfully when someone goes to space they have a whole crew with them which would make it much easier to have a ‘hospital’ in space since everyone has different jobs and you can have one full medical professional and someone who could act as a nurse. It is interesting to think about because then it brings up the question of what if the person acting as the doctor gets hurt which that could be another reason for someone who knows enough but that is not their specific role. The idea of hospitals in space is a cool idea that would require a lot of planning but if done correctly could change space and make it a little ‘safer.’
