Jamming and the full brain work-out

Wow! This video was so cool! Thanks so much for posting this, I learned so much. I just recently have been getting into jamming with my friends. New to the guitar, I am challenged in so many ways, especially just feeling scared to not mess up or ruin the jam. Then, my friend encouraged me to do a ‘solo’ and said, what would happen if you could do nothing wrong? That gave me the courage to try, and it was such a rewarding experience. After we started making a rhythm and listening to each other (playing the same chords, while my musician friend did fancy things with his fingers) a few other friends started riffing and rhyming with words, and it just lit up my soul and felt my heart explode with the beautiful creation. It’s hard to describe the full sensation, and I wish everyone the chance to experience this! At the end of it though, I did feel mentally exhausted, so I can see how it is a full brain work-out. My friend was reflecting on how he learns the rules first (like the chords and progressions) and then from there has access to a whole database of possibilities! That concept was really expanded upon in the video!
