Jane’s March Einstein
1. Milk jugs are not recycled because of the label so they don’t get recycled and they go into the ocean or landfill.
2. I am going to reuse milk jugs to make jewelry rings.
3. I found a website that showed me how to make fun rings and other jewelry out of milk jugs.
4. My team is my family because we’re stuck at home.
5. I got my family together for a couple days to help.
6. No money needed
7. Step:
• Gather milk carton from garbage cans and recycling bins on my street.
• Gather my supplies. Sharpies, milk cartons, scissors.
• Make the rings.
• Share the rings with families on my street.
8. I think it went great. When we started going through the recycle bins, I had neighbors come out and bring me more milk cartons. My sister Caroline whined a little bit about making the rings, but in the end we had a good time doing it. If I did it again I wish I could have done it with my friends. Maybe when we can get together again.
9. I think it would be good to put up signs around the neighborhood to let them know they should take off the labels of their milk cartons so they don’t go to the landfill and oceans.
