Life On Land

Did you know that there is a war that is going on in Darfur? This war is going on in Darfur because of… LAND. SDGs are the sustainable development goals that we and the government want to complete by 2030. My SDG is Life on Land, goal 15. I think that if we plant food in the desert and construct wells than, as a team, we can get the people of the war to move back to the Savannah desert. Because now they have both food and water.

Not many things can grow in the desert but some foods can. Some foods that can grow in the desert is figs, pomegranate, almonds, and dates. Other fruits that are more common to us that can grow in the desert is apples, and apricots. Foods that the desert provides is special fruits that grow on cacti. All the Africans need to do is skin the fruit to eat it. If people decide to live on these types of food than they can make a living in Africa .

All that is left for the needs of Africans is … water. There are so many different kinds of water organizations that we could donate to these organizations. In Africa a problem that is occuring is that girls have to walk o many miles to get water. If we could donate money to water organizations than girls can get a education and since food grows in the desert they will have food.

Therefore if we could donate money to the water organizations and grow food in the desert we could get the people of Africa to move back to the Sahara desert.
