My Sleep and My Mood

Depending on the night I get anywhere between 1 hour of sleep and 12 hours of sleep, which is really bad, I know. However, I have noticed that when I get too much sleep it affects me in a similar way to when I get very little sleep. When I either get too much or too little sleep, I have a very hard time understanding what is going on around me and I feel very confused. It is also very easy for me to get angry or frustrated. However, when I get just the right amount of sleep I feel normal and I can function easier, so I really like it when I get between 8 and 9 hours of sleep. I do not think I get enough sleep because I often stay up all night trying to complete my schoolwork or sometimes I stay up all night to make up for free time I feel like I don’t get. Another problem I struggle with is the fact that my sleep schedule naturally gravitates towards me staying up all night and sleeping during the day. This is when I feel I get the best quality of sleep and when it is easiest for me to fall asleep easily and wake up easily, but it isn’t really socially acceptable since almost everything is meant to be done during the day. For example, public school usually starts early in the morning and ends in the afternoon and stores open up starting around 9 in the morning and usually close before 10 at night. I wish I got more sleep, but it is really difficult for me.
