Myth: Lightning victims carry an electrical charge.

This myth is actually false. When I first saw this article I knew that the myth was false because I’ve heard before that the human body can’t store electricity. I’ve also heard stories about how if you have a connected chain of people and the person on the end grabs an electric fence, the person on the opposite end will get shocked. This shows that the electricity transfers from one body to the next until it has no where else to go but out. By going out it shocks the person while leaving showing that it doesn’t stay in the body or gets stored. If the same principle is applied to lightning then the body can’t store it so it leaves the body giving a very harmful shock on its way out. Which means that if you touch them you won’t get electrocuted because it has already left their system.

I like how you explain why the myth is false by using logical statements. I just learned something new today!!! This kind of reminds me of when people walk on a carpet and touch an electrical knob and get shocked!!!

I think you did really well on this! I really like the reasoning you used for it! It was very logical and debunked the myth. I have heard this myth before but didn’t know why it was a myth. Overall, really good job! 🙂

I really like your post. I hadn’t even heard this myth before. I find it interesting that something that when you first glance at it might seem true, but when you really pay attention and look at it, it is totally false.
