There aren’t many times where I actively went out of my way to overcome fear. I usually avoid situations that include those fears, so I don’t experience the anxiety that comes with it. Though I don’t do it much, I’ve dug through my memory, and I can recall one time I overcame a fear. I have quite a few fears, but one of the less intense ones is a fear of insects. The bug can be as small as an ant, and it’ll still initiate a panicked response. Once I was out in my backyard, and a wasp landed on my forearm. My initial and natural response was to freak out. But I just decided I’d let the bug crawl on me until it flew away. And eventually, the wasp went away. I was absolutely terrified but ultimately proud of myself for facing my small fear.
