I think that reforestation is very helpful to the environment because it can reverse the effects of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere from deforestation. Reforestation could do this through photosynthesis where carbon dioxide would be consumed and oxygen would be produced. By planting trees and other plants humans can help lower the amount of carbon dioxide, which could cool the planet, causing less coral bleaching, insect herbivory, and the shrinkage of mammals. In addition, many species would be saved from unnatural migration and/or extinction (an example would be temperate leaves). The way I think that our communities should go about planting trees is to strategically place non-fruit-bearing trees in parks and forests and plant trees that bear fruit in a communal garden.
