Reforestation

Deforestation is when humans cut down trees and clear land to build or farm. Deforestation is bad for the environment because trees produce oxygen and provide food and shelter for animals. Trees are also used to stop erosion because their roots hold down soil. Reforestation is when humans plant new trees in previously deforested areas. These new trees grow and replace the trees that were cut down. I have never planted a tree before. I think that it is a good idea for people to plant new trees in areas damaged by deforestation. Trees do a lot for humans and their environment. We should “give back” to the trees by planting them in places where other trees are gone. Deforestation is one of the largest causes of climate change. Reforestation will improve the environment and help with climate change. We can battle climate change by planting new trees. Humans plant trees because they want to do something good for the environment.

Hello 4627984! Great job explaining reforestation and deforestation and their effects on the climate! In the future, will you try planting a tree to help with reforestation or even just in your back yard? Overall, I really liked your response!

I enjoy how you talk about deforestation, and it is very amazing to see other people with the same beliefs as me. I do agree that by planting trees, we are giving back some of the things that we took from the earth. In a way, we are both benefiting our lives and our mental state because we feel good for protecting the environment.

Hi, I enjoyed reading your response. I like how you first defined deforestation. I agree that trees do a lot of positive things for humans. I also agree that by planting trees, we could be “giving back” some appreciation for the trees.
