Sdgs: Industry, Innovation And Infrastructure

The Sdgs are goals that the United Nations made. Their are 17 in total.

It is a very important sdg. In my research, I figured out that solving this sdgs problems could fix problems with many more sdgs.

There are many problems that connect to this sdg. For example, the Flint, Michigan water crisis is caused by lead pipes. Lead pipes contaminate water with high amounts of lead. Then the water goes to faucets people in Flint drink. Then, they experience the effects of the lead on themselves. For children, this can cause their IQ to drop so they will need longer schooling to get as much knowledge as the average person. Adults IQ can drop too leading to the same problems children get when they drink contaminated water. Their are a few fundraisers to help with the pipes. One of them is on gofundme.

Another problem that relates to this sdg is the Orville dam break. It was caused by the concrete chute being only 1 foot. The chute broke causing huge amounts of water to gush out of the dam. Then, the emergency chute opened but it already eroded so it did not help a lot. Then the area was evacuated and then when the water gushing out of the dam was done, officials talked about fixing the dam. They said their was not enough time to fix the dam until the next time it rained a lot.

Another problem related to water infrastructure is when the levees that kept water out of New Orleans broke. Rescue helicopters came but were not enough to cover the 80% water covered city. Then more helicopters came along with planes to transport ill people to hospitals deeper in Louisiana.

My plan to fix these problems is to put a video on the Wonderment and give two links on it to fundraisers to help Flint Michigan.
