When I look up into the night sky, the first thing that usually catches my eyes is the Moon. Some nights you don’t see it, other nights it shines so brightly the ground reflects the moonlight. I see the stars, bright big ones and small bright ones all around me. The dark spaces between the stars are long distances away from each other but even farther from Earth. What amazed me was when a star sends light to Earth, it takes many years to get here. So if the star dies out, the light that was traveling to Earth keeps traveling, so by the naked eye it looks like it is still there but it is actually dead. Same with when a new star is born, we won’t know when it is born until the light reaches us. The google doc about the planets was cool, and the slides were nice to read.
