The process of Reforestation can take many years just for a forest to regrow from either getting cut down or destroyed by natural disasters. With the number of people that are on Earth, we take in a lot of oxygen and take away a lot of the main sources of oxygen, trees. If we continue this path without replanting, we will soon become extinct. There are many people who notice this and want to help the matter. For example, Mr. Beast is a youtuber who made it his goal to plant 20 million trees for his 20 million subscriber special before the end of 2020. This was just one act of reforestation that the people have done. With that explanation out of the way, let’s move on to the “law” that should be endorsed. It was brought up that every person in the world should plant two trees in their lifetime. If we did this, then there would obviously be more trees on Earth. However, people also use trees a lot for multiple purposes such as building and warmth. Not to mention, we are now cutting down the Amazon rain forest just so animals can graze there and be eaten later. I think this law wouldn’t do as much good as it sounds. What should happen is restricting the limit to growing your own wood, instead of taking it from wildlife. This way, the trees in the animals’ ecosystem can stay and output oxygen, and we would be able to get wood from farming it like what we do with most things. This is my opinion and I’m always up for debating on the subject.

I like that you are thinking of the consequences of cutting down trees, and also of planting them! Solutions are not always linear or clear-cut (excuse the pun :P)

Hi,
I like how you went into detail about this situation. I also agree that reforestation can take a long time. Finally, I like how you mentioned what we could do as a solution to fixing this problem. Good Job!!!
