I believe the sky is blue during the day because of the wavelengths of the colors from the sun. As the sun’s rays travel through the earth’s surface colors appear. These colors appear in wavelengths, and their lengths determine which color the human eyes sees first. Blue has a short wavelength, so as sunlight passes through, we see blue first. As the sun rays move later in the day, red and orange hues become more visible because the wavelengths are longer.
