One song that affects me the most is “Meet me Halfway” from the Black Eyed Peas. This is an old song made in the early 2000’s. I grew up hearing this song because my mom played it often when I was a child. Hearing this song gives me good vibes, also the fact that it is an amazing song. I love listening it and know most of the lyrics and always smile a little when it comes on. It reminds me of those simpler times when I was a little baby and child and how so much time has passed since then. Music affects humans because of the memories that may be attached to it. If you hear a song while having a good time with friends, hearing it again while alone may cheer you up. The memories of when the song was played are often stronger than the song itself. It can even trick the person into believing that the song is what makes them happy, but rather it is what was going on when that song was first played to them. For example, with me the song was as a child when my mother was cleaning. She often likes to play music she heard while growing up, so I was able to hear a lot of music from the 90’s and early 2000’s. The memories attached to these songs make the user feel the emotion that is linked to when it was first played.
