This past week I continued to reflect on my practice of engaging students. It seemed like one of my classes was not able to complete the work and they were less motivated than I wanted them to be for the homework assignments. I asked Miss Amy S. for some help. The first thing that she did was read the google classroom and looked at the assignment sheet for the week. While the assignments were engaging, and the memes were fun, the text was boring and didn’t engage the students. Along with that, there was confusion about how to do an assignment. So, I looked at some articles about how to create engaging meetings and changed my assignment so that we were all working on a google document together during class. This helped the students engage with each other and also understand the assignments more. I need to make sure that I am constantly looking at the google classroom like I am a student and not the teacher to put their point of view in place.
