Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

By working collaboratively with the studio and Gaby we will be able to help each other mutually. Both Cane and I are caring for the studio community and Gaby has been an important figure in our personal and dancing life. By working together we will help Gaby with important plans regarding the future of the studio. On Sunday I had a call from Gaby where she proposed an idea regarding the studio and a project. The plan is for Cane, Gaby, Julian, Fer and I to work on initiating and planning a dance festival in Tamarindo. This festival is expected to happen towards the end of next month. By working collaboratively we will have a powerful team capable of organizing this dance festival that will inspire the dancers in our community and around the country. We have strengthened our communication skills with others and are using this to help us plan and continue our project.   

Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

The purpose of this Tamarindo dance festival is to gather the dance and artistic community around our area to help spread art and motivate ourselves as dancers and others. It’s important for the studio to spread awareness about the dance community, since where we live there arent many resources for artists to grow and develop their career. By creating this festival we will bring many studios together from around the country and create a strong community. We will organize something special that will focus on inspiring others by doing what we love. Our goal for this festival is for it to take place annually, we want this to be the first year and then for this to keep happening and for it to expand and become a tradition.   

Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

We are all taking a big risk and going out of our comfort zone since we are initiating and planning the whole project. We are going to spend a lot of time and effort to make this festival work because it’s something that matters for all of us. We will have to balance our time and learn how to manage our time so we can have a good balance between school, dance and our social life. We will sacrifice time during our weekends and after school to work on our project. We will have to think outside of the box to create a festival that demonstrates our talents and passion in a creative way. From making flyers, to coming up with a slogan to designing the festival we will emphasize our creative thinking skills.
