3rd Reflection 29/20/2020
How do I feel about taking on this new challenge?
I am excited to take on this challenge because it allows me to have new opportunities and experiences that I can learn from. I also feel grateful that I am able to help others in my community and be apart of a bigger cause. I also feel slightly nervous because my actions have such a big impact and I want it to go well.
What are my perceptions about this new project? Is it going to be hard? Will I be up for the challenge?
I'm expecting it to be slightly difficult in communicating with the community what measures need to be taken to help us in our goal. Community participation is crucial for this project so it is important that everyone is aware of what needs to be done. I am up for the challenge in making sure the word is spread and the community knows the importance of their actions.
What has been a meaningful activity for me so far in this project and what was the value of that activity?
A meaningful activity in this project was going over our strengths and weaknesses to see what we can contribute. After doing this activity I know that everyone is applying their strengths and we are better able to help the community because of that. I got to know myself better and helps me in future circumstances.
What are the skills that I might learn in this project and how will the skills that I am going to help me in the future?
Skills I might learn in this project is leadership on a wider scale and knowing the consequences of my actions. Knowing that when being among my peers I can lead by example to teach them the importance and actions needed to be taken in keeping our community clean. These skills will help me in the future because being aware of your influence on others is important when working in groups.
What are the steps that I am going to have to take to be able to take on this project?
Steps I can take going forward is contacting community leaders to find out about issues in the community and what resources they need. Next, I'll figure out what I can do and be able to form a plan and take action.
