Egocentricity And Selfishness

I don’t think of myself as a very egocentric, I don’t think I am the center of attention, in fact, I rarely think I am the center of attention, mostly when I’m doing presentations in class or making an announcement in morning meeting. I’m also pretty sure I’m not selfish, I lend people money, I lend people school utensils (erasers, pencils, pens, pencil sharpeners, mechanical pencil led, etc.), I spend the afternoon of my Thursdays teaching my classmates, that does not benefit me in any way, as I know the material, and could be using this time to do homework, but instead I help my classmates learn math. As far as I’m aware, most people in my class aren’t selfish or egocentric. I do know that there are people in the world that are these egocentric and selfish, and they may not even realize it. CAS helps with not being egocentric and selfish, because, you are doing things for other people, you are creating change for other people, you make money, and you do speeches, but it isn’t for you, it’s for the people that you are helping, and I think that that is awesome. The fact that even though you are making money, and are the center of attention of your project, you use that money to help those that need it, and you use that attention to and direct it at things that deserve that attention.
