Activity

The first two and a half weeks of break I was in cities. This means exploring and walking everywhere. Not only a good way to save money but also a great way to exercise and explore the city. I am someone who needs to stay active in order to stay happy. If I’m stagnant I feel groggy and unhappy. While in these cities surrounded by people who walk everywhere I was inspired. The happiness I received from doing this exercise reminded me just how important it is to include in my everyday life. While in the States I was also reminded about the abundance of unhealthy food and its accessibility. I didn’t eat in the way I usually do and this affected me and my mood. When I got back to CR I applied what I had already known about myself but had remembered through the trip to my life. I eat well, exercise, hanging out in the sun and these things all help me ensure my happiness. In the past 4 years I have always been trying to do this but I have struggled with sticking to it. This time I have approached it in a different way. Rather than thinking of it as eating healthy and exercising I think of it as a part of my routine. It is something that I know makes me feel better, so it is a part of my lifestyle rather than a diet or an exercise regimen. I have been doing this for the past 4 weeks and I already feel happier and better about my overall life. This helps me not only internally but also externally. It helps me be more productive and move in a way that gets me where I want to be!
