Amanda- Journal Entry August 7 (2019)

The following activity was part of a soccer camp organized by the two La Paz femenine soccer team coaches: Paola Freer and Francis Valverde. As part of the events they had organized, a morning soccer practice along with the girls from Providence Christian College in Pasadena California was in the schedule. Practice started at around 8:15am with some warm ups lead by our team's captain Melanie. This was continued by other warm up exercises lead by Providence's coach. Most of the girls in the La Paz team were quickly tired and left breathless since the warm ups are more intense than we are accustomed to. Later we start with the practice and got mixed together and did the activities the coaches directed us to do. After doing that for 1 hour we ended practice with a friendly soccer match between La Paz and Providence Christian College. Overall it was a very enriching activity for both teams. The Province team said the were impressed by how united and friendly we were to each in a family like way. La Paz team also learned lots of new techniques and how to be more optimistic.
