Amanda- Journal Entry September 19th

On September 19th there was a night for the parents to speak to the teachers of their kids. Cindy and I volunteered to be doing a small musical performance as the opening of the night. Since 3 weeks prior we started practicing the 3 songs we were going to play that night. Since I am now in IB, I don't receive elective music class. For this reason Cindy and I decided to volunteer and help our old music teacher set up an opening performance for the parent night. We show consisted of 2 songs sang together and 2 solos. First we performed Shape of you by Ed Sheeran and Limon y Sal by Julieta Venegas in which we both played ukulele and sang. Following, there was my solo which was La Vie en Rose the translated version by Louis Armstrong meanwhile Cindy did the instrumentation with the ukulele. Lastly, there was Cindy’s solo which was titled Heard All about It.
