Amanda- Journal Entry September 27th 2019

On September 27th the 11th grade took the initiative to make a global warming strike to protest the warming up of planet Earth. The strike lasted 1 hour and a half in which we walked to a nearby pastry shop where lots of cars and tourist pass by. I made my own sign made out of poster board as well as some other signs for the other protesters. We faced some challenges such as the weather since it started raining however we took the risk and kept the strike going. I also learned how to have communicative skills since I used the speaker to make some chants and hype up the strike.
