Approaches To Learning
CAS has been a constant learning experience and in many instances I have been able to implement the approaches to gain an even deeper learning experience in CAS. One of the most prominent ones in my projects has been communication skills. This is due to the fact that the math tutoring is such a new project and it needed marketing and reminding people to be motivated to join. I also needed communication with the math teachers in the high school to understand what the students are learning and for them to promote my project to the kids who need it in their class. I have had to communicate with the coordinator for the after school activities bus to see if I could get rides for some students who couldn't stay because they didn’t have a ride. The last part of communication has been marketing which is why I made this flier to add to the La Paz newsletter so parents could see it and encourage the kids to come to the tutoring. The second approach I have used is social skills especially in the class themselves because I have had to be able to interact with the students who have come to my class and teach them in a way that they can understand and that would be beneficial to them.
