April 23

This week, I am out of town in Colorado visiting my mom. Mileidy is going to be here with Megan and Genesis.

I have a lot of ideas for this meeting and I am going to list them all. I am also going to let Mileidy decide which of them to complete as they are not going to be able to finish all of them.

  • Values – I would love it if they watched Mileidy’s video on values and gave some feedback on line. If that doesn’t work – they could watch mine. 🙂 Here is the list of values that they can use to decide which ones are important to them. They can complete the exercise and write their list on the Values page of the Wonderment so that we can have it for future reference.
  • Passions – I also think that it is important to make sure that the project idea that they have fits in with what they like to do. So, I think that the next step is to really analyze and think about what they like to do – what really makes them forget time! Once they do this – they could watch the video about my favorite artist, Robin Kid. And see how he knew from his childhood that he wanted to be an artist. Did they have any hints from their childhood? Do they have any examples from people that they follow?
  • Naming their project. Here is the lesson on the Wonderment. This one is important so that we can name our project page and think about next steps.
  • Opportunity Cost – Here is the lesson on Opportunity Cost and I did print out a worksheet so that they can practice an example with Mileidy before leaving for home.

I think that this is enough – and having Mileidy as a guide is going to be great! Can’t wait until next week.
