Cindy – April 10th 2020, Journal Entry #17

During this day I was reading a book named "La Ruta de su Evasión" by a Costa Rican writer called Yolanda Oreamuno. I am reading it because it talks about the patriarchy between 1947 and 1950. I will be using this book as my reference for my extended essay and that is why I wanted to finish it before break ends. From this book I have learned how women history has changed abruptly due to the freedom that we have compared to the past. I will be comparing and contrasting how this book reflects the women life of that period of time. Some IB skills that I am putting into practice are open-minded in order to understand men perspective in the book, and inquirer by doing reasearch. In fact, I have been taking advantage of this quarantine by catching up with future assignments.
