Cindy – August 15th, 2020 Journal Entry #31

A couple of days ago I started gardening with my mom and I tried to grow a pineapple which turned out really good. I did this because in the future I would like to grow certain things at home such as tomatoes and sweet chili. While gardening I realize how valuable food is and now I always try to serve myself the amount I know I will eat to avoid waste. This is a really nice way of spending time and learning about new skills. Now my pineapple is planted and I am watering it to see if it grows even more. Some challenges in this activity were patience, because I thought the roots were never going to grow and I was about to discard this one but after some days I started to see changes and waited more until all roots were out. On the bright side, I was very satisfied with the result and I connected this experience with school related by telling myself that being patient is always a good decision.
