Cindy – Jounal Entry December 19th #10

On December 19th I was the microphone controler of a competition called "Miss Potrero". This competition was organized in order to raise money for the catholic church of our town. Both candidates raised $1000 in only 1 month and all the money will be for the benefit of the church's infrastructure. I was in charge of the final event where I announced the queen and maid of honor. This experience helped me be more confident when talking and presenting in public as well as understanding the importance of being a united community. Without these events, some issues would not be addressed. Being part of this experience gave me an interesting idea of how to raise money for my future projects.
