Cindy / Journal Entry #50 – Jan 12, 2021

A few months ago I decided to adopt these wild cats that started to come to my house. They were very skinny and at first it was only 1 of them but it gave birth to the baby one that can be seen in the back of the photo. The other kittens did not survive and this is why I decided to take care of both the mother and kitty that survived. They have given me more responsibility which has challenged me to be able to do multi tasks. I have been putting into practice my IB skill of balance and being patience. I organized my time to include a small schedule where I have reminders for the times I need to give them food. This can also be part of my project Youth Taking Action since we are compromised to the well being of animals. It has been an obstacle to stick to the eating times with them due to my school schedule and IB assignments which has made me be more disciplined and stick to my schedule in order to not miss their time. Indeed, this responsibility has put into challenge my discipline and commitment but I am happy to say that I have improved both aspects of my life.
