What about your mind map needs to be reflected on?
My project tries to reach aspects such as: poverty, environment and animals. I feel that I have been doing a good job with my team which is formed by two of my classmates, Katherine and Amanda. We are planning ideas about how to get donations for our project, some of them are: bake sales, writing formal letters to local businesses and events for our school (school dance). I believe that something that needs to be reflected on our mind map is the impact that we are making through our ideas and how we all are going to stay motivated while in the process. With that said, I think that working in collaboration will keep me motivated since the responsability will be distributed equally. Also, it is really impressive how we could put together our interests to make it one project. Amanda wanted to do something related to stray dogs, Katherine about women (which goes into the category of people) and I wanted to keep my passion for nature, and that is how “Youth Taking Action” was born. The impact that we will have in the lives of people will also have an impact in ours. It is like when you give a gift, the happiness of the other part is shared with yours. Nevertheless, there are challenges…one of them is being dependent of donations since, we need money to buy materials and organize our events. On the other hand, I am really proud of me because this project has helped me become a leader, work with different individuals and volunteer at amazing activities, which makes me a knowledgeable person by being able to analyze daily situations that most people do not notice by being part of a solution. My project tries to keep a balance in the 3 areas mentioned at the beginning in order to make a stable environment in which everyone is able to live the life they deserve, a good one.
