Today Grace and I decided to make a healthy lunch after paddling in the bay of Tamarindo. It was an interesting day because it was really cloudy and the ocean was choppy and there was a lot of wind so it was extremely hard to paddle and move. It was a good exercise and Grace and I have been wanting to go paddling for a long time so it was nice to take that out of our bucket list. After paddling, we decided to make lunch for ourselves instead of buying food. During corona time, going out to eat lunch is expensive and it is more economical to stay in the house and cook a meal. We decided to cook some rice with vegetables, roasted chickpeas, pork, mushrooms and cucumber. It turned out delicouse and super healthy. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my best friend, two of my favorite hobbies together.
Grace and I never cook collaboratively yet we spend so much time together so doing this activity was really fun because we love to cook but we always just end up going out to eat. We also have really different ways of cooking because we were both raised by different cultures so it was fun to see how Grace cooked her chickpeas compared to how I cooked them. This experience also taught me how to save money and how to reuse food and not waste it because we cooked from leftovers and didn't waste any money. I enjoy spending time with Grace and I am extremely grateful for our friendship.
