Essence of Life
This weekend was the dance show essence of life which we helped put on and choreographed for. The show turned out amazing and the best part was that all of us worked together, our dance teachers, the dancers, the parents, and the three of us to put on an amazing show, one of the best that our studio has put on. Collectively the three of us had four dances that we choreographed: two group dances, one with the minis and one with the juniors and one solo choreographed by me as a teen dancer Luna. We also all collaborated in choreographing a trio which really showed all of our creative expression and included our dance teacher at the end. At the end of the day the show turned out amazing. Lots of people showed up and we were able to help give the dancers at our studio the chance to perform after covid and the chance to learn from their peers and experience choreography from different people. We were also able to give this community the ability to watch performing art in person and see the dancers in their community express themselves. The two videos that you see above are the two dances that I was able to choreograph on the stage, the one solo that I created and the trio that I collaborated in.
