First obstacles

Through the beginning of our project we faced certain obstacles. The first one was fundraising. We started fundraising with bake sales, but since we realized that the amount of people buying was not similar to the amount of food we brought, we decided to fundraise money each time we were hosting an environmental campaign or donating money to another campaign involving social and animal wellness. We managed to overcome this obstacle with the previous method, yet another obstacle came in, which was organizing and hosting events related to the environment. We were not use to having the whole responsability of organizing events, but with the help of our mentors we learned how to deliver brief speeches before starting the events, how to organize groups for clean ups and how to make good use of our savings from fundraising to get snacks for the volunteers. These first obstacles taught us the importance of commitment and responsability, now we handle these aspects of the project with confidence thanks to the first challenges of it.
