Today, Stacy and I went to Liberia to buy different things for El Dia De Las Mascaradas. The event is in a few weeks and we felt like we needed to go buy the different materials for the event to be a success. While we were in Liberia, we went to a lot of different stores to buy the materials for the Legend House, for the maze, for the food, for the games and capture the flag. It was really hard to find everything that we needed because in Liberia they don't really celebrate this holiday, therefore we had to buy what we could find. I feel really stressed out because the event is super close and I feel like we are not organized or prepared and I feel like the SSS meetings are not being as successful as I wished they were. I want the event to be a success but I feel like no one is taking it seriously or using time efficiently. During the time we were at Liberia, I feel like I was able to connect back with Stacy and to build a bond that allowed us to work better together. I am a person that likes to take control over things, therefore many times I tend to ignore other people's ideas, I wish I could be more open minded and this is definitely something that I need to work on. I want to spread the word more because I want the whole community to be a part of this event, therefore, I want to print flyers and create a social media for SSS. I feel like starting off SSS with such a big event is really challenging because I never planned a school event that is expected to be successful from the community, therefore, I feel a lot of pressure and expectations from everyone.
