Global significance

How do you make a difference in your community? The difference we are making is encouraging your people to incorporate performance art in their community and bringing an opportunity for the dancers at our studio to perform. This is important because due to the global pandemic performance art has been greatly affected in the way that many people don't have the chance to perform because of covid protocols. What are you doing to create change? We are providing dance opportunities for the dancers at our studio to dance and for our community to watch them. We are offering the dancers at our studio a chance to learn from their peers and become inspired by our creativity. We are offering the dancers possibilities to express themselves. Can you show the process that you are going through to do that? What are the obstacles? How are you getting through them? We started out by having the idea to let the dancers at our studio perform and therefore bringing back performance art to the community. We put the idea into action by helping the owner of our dance studio put on the end of year dance show and by choreographing dances for the production. Now that the show is over we plan to incorporate the dancers and our community to continue to inspire dance among them. Our biggest obstacle is covid as we had to change our idea several times to accommodate it. Another obstacle is motivation and time. The three of us have a lot to do since we dance 10-12 hours a week and it's difficult to find the motivation to work on the project in our free time since we don't get much of it. We need to schedule our time to make sure we are getting all the work done and accomplishing our goal. How does your project demonstrate engagement in global significance? Our project is very focused on the community as we are inspiring performance art in it. By sharing our project on the Wonderment we can encourage other communities to do the same. Dance is a way for the kids at the studio to express themselves and we want them to feel like they can follow their passions and present their work.
